Our New House Spring 2006

Pumba and Kelly
"When will we move?? We want a new backyard of our own where we can play. We are tired of being trapped in a crowd apartment. Hurry up"!
Kelly "I will miss chasing the rabbits and squirrels on an apartment complex but I get nervous when so many people walk by and there is no privaty."

I was disappointed to find out that I had deleted some pictures of the foundation and the cement pour after printing them before I started creating my blog.

Green 2x4 studs on the bottom were painted water-proof.

Backyard before the fence and sods were installed.
The gound is made of clay. When it wet, it would become stuck on your shoee soles that are too heavy to walk like the Frankenstein shoes and you would have to wash them with water and brush before the clay becomes dry.

Our New House May 2006

We had moved into our new 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms house on May 27,2006 in Fort Worth, Texas. Our friends Dean, Rosie and James helped us move. We met them at the Deaf Coffee Chat in Starbucks in Plano just less than a week after we moved from North Idaho. Dean and Rosie had moved to Frisco from Seattle, Washington two years before. Dean who had been hard of hearing for years before becoming deaf and Rosie have been learning sign language. James is a hostess of the deaf Coffee Chat in some Starbucks locations.

Backyard with free sod and fence.
The foundation is over one foot thick. Before the cement was poured, they covered the dirt and pipes with black plastic tarp to prevent sweeting.
